Xanax (alprazolam) is a prescription drug specially intended for patients suffering from anxiety disorders or panic disorders and unable to do without that kind of help. This drug comes as a tablet and concentrated solution with a dropper. The liquid form should be drawn with the dropper and then squeezed into some semi-solid food or another liquid. The mixture should then be taken as soon as possible. You are not supposed to store it for future use. Do not combine Xanax with other drugs you may be taking at the moment before discussing it with you health care provider. You will need to report any of the following ones to prevent interactions from occurring: isoniazid, sedatives, cimetidine, antihistamines, antidepressants, fluvoxamine, oral contraceptives, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, erythromycin, sertraline, seizure medications, diltiazem, clarithromycin, antifungals, tranquilizers, mental illness drugs, or ergotamine. It's very important that you also watch for any side effects and evaluate their severity. For instance, such side effect as tiredness, light-headedness, drowsiness, irritability, dizziness, changes in sex drive or ability, changes in appetite, increased salivation, dry mouth, and weight changes are not expected to be serious and tend to disappear on their own.
